well i had the op back in november.was only suposed to be in theatre 4 hours was in there 7,i was very ill at one point,theyd given me to much anasthetic,my fault in a way id lost quite a bit of weight in the 3 weeks between my pre-op assement and the op its self must of been the worry.cant decsribe the pain i was in after the op but what we didnt know was that i had contracted chemical menigitus well only i could couldnt i haha.got rush back in 2 weeks after i was let out of hospital.my doctor could apoligis enough. the hospital staff were amazing so kind and alway made sure they got time for you really cant thank them enough, even when i got taken back in.i know some people slate th NHS but ive got nothing but praise for them they do a very hard job and do it fantasticly.well im on the mend now,still have a few headaches but nothing like i used to but they did say i would until everything had settled back but theres light at the end of the tunnle now and thats the main thing

bin really ill the past month but determined to stick college out and not give in acm has taken over my life to much as it is.went to to see then surgeon and he wants to do the op,turns out i have a cyst on my brain as well which isn't helping matters so got have that removed while they in they in there.my mum and brother are really worried but then again so am i.i know its going be brilliant to get my life back but after every thing we've been through as a family the past few years its hard not to be scared or worried.but positive thinking all the way.

day to day living with arnold chiari syndrome tpye1

in at lot of pain today my neck is really aching and the pressure in my head is unreal. i can tell i had a late night, but I'm determind not to to stop my life because of this but its really knocking my conidence its not nice when u go really dizzy in the middle of the supermarket and people look at you as if your drunk or on drugs, its as though i need a sign on my head saying ARNOLD CHIARI SYNDROME PLEASE DONT STARE, just because they cant see whats wrong.oh well i just have to keep thinking they are small minded people they are the freaks not me im special my doctor told me so hahahaha.anyway really enjoyed Julie and Danny's last night wedding they both looked so beautiful and happy and their kids looked so cute especially little Carla.enjoyed catching up with Charlotte and Charline and arranged for Charlotte and her son to come down for tea on friday Nathaniel will love that a new friend to play with.
thanks to my cousin tomorrow we are to see about getting the kids a tortose they saw hers and now want one of their own that should be fun.

well finally got a name to my condition its called Arnold chiari syndrome type 1.just wish i could handle the full recommended dose topamax but at the minute they seem to make me worse.the GP was fascinated by it he said he'd herd of it before but not seen it but then again the neuro dr was the same but he never gave me actual name of it.I'm so sick of having a constant headache,apparently once we get my meds right I'll be OK the dizzy spells will subside and the bad heads will go.just want to be normal again.the GP told me that at this time they cant see whether my brain is to big or my 'spinal hole' is to small got to wait to see the surgeon.so at the mo I'm a medical marvel at health centre.oh well when we were kids me brother said i was an attention seeker lol xxx
